12th March
by JCI Ireland
Did you know that a fear of public speaking can have a significant impact on your career? If you think about it for a second, from the boardroom to a pitch to meetings, nearly every industry involves some form of speaking in front of a group.
This year, JCI Ireland will host the Public Speaking and Debating Training & Competitions with a one day event on March 12th in The Prince of Wales Hotel in Athlone from 9:30am - 6pm.With Debating and Public Speaking Training in the morning, open to JCI Members and Non-Members, we will then have the JCI Public Speaking Competitions (Novice & Advanced), followed by Debating Competitions.
Non-members who take part in the training in the morning are welcome to wait and watch as JCI Members put what they learned into practice and take part in competing for the 2022 titles.
There are three ticket types:
JCI Member Day Training: This includes trainings, lunch, tea & coffee and the competitions
JCI Member Full Day Ticket: This includes trainings, lunch, tea & coffee and the competitions, as well as dinner in the evening for those staying Saturday night for some fun

You might currently be petrified of speaking in public but why not take on the challenge, face your fear, and be able to stand up anywhere and deliver a few words or a full-blown speech.
